Losing weight and night time body temp flucuations

I’m getting in touch with our doctor but I’m curious if others have experienced this. My husband has lost quite a bit of weight in a short amount of time as well as he wakes up freezing during the night and then later sweating. Very concerning and, sadly, I’m assuming it’s just part of the disease progression.

Hmmm. Mine had an initial 20lb-plus unintentional weight loss early in diagnosis. He was already quite slender and fit but now he’s gaunt.
He now walks around with his hands clasped together in front, not something I have ever known him to do before.
I asked if they are cold but he said he doesn’t know what I’m talking about, that he doesn’t do that. (I changed the subject).

Yes, my Mom is losing weight more rapidly now. She's in the last stages so it's faster. At first, she lost about 15 pounds in a year (she's regular weight and only 5'). But she lost another 15 pounds in just the past 3 months and is down to 100. So hard watching loved ones disappear physically as well as mentally.

Temperature fluctuations can be part of the disease and LBD patients can lose ability to regulate their temp. Mom is usually cold all the time. But after receiving an over-the-head sweater that was super warm, she got overly heated. Better for her to have a jacket type thing. But, she stays in bed so much that she doesn't need. She has a medium weight blanket and keeps the room on the warm side.

Hope your husband's weight loss doesn't speed up. Different foods or foods from childhood can be tempting and helpful. Also lots of color.

My hubby has lost about 25 lbs. He is way too thin, but he eats, he just can’t hold on to the weight. I have been told the medications have a lot to do with it. Also, he is now very cold natured, his hands are always cold and he covers up in the bed like a bear in hibernation. This is a man who has always been my heater and kept me warm…the roles have reversed.
