Anyone have Vagus nerve problems causing strange, unnerving symptoms?
Does anyone else have debilitating symptoms that affects the entire body, especially in the morning hours, and my Arrhythmia Dr told me I have Vagus Nerve malfunctions that causes major issues where my heart goes off beat, I have to continually use the bathroom and I get an overall body feeling of just feel sick, rush of nausea etc.
I still have the overall muscle twitching and strange internal vibrations as well as tinnitus and thumping sounds in my right ear.
Does anyone else have Vagus nerve problems that cause strange, unnerving symptoms??

2 ReactionsThank you for describing what I have been coping with. I have low blood pressure, but I live with a permanent ileostomy which was relocated a year ago.

1 ReactionHello @billeekhof and @ammiatx, and welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect.
I see that you both relate to the symptoms @joannemm30809 mentioned. How was your vagus nerve problem determined? Was it by a scan or simply by ruling out other possible diagnoses?
How are you feeling now?

2 Reactions@hopeful33250 I have had to do my own footwork to find any diagnosis for my various types of vertigo. I have had no tests, except at PT clinic for dizziness and balance. So I'm calling it my syncope episodes just that. I am high output ileostomy, FAP, colorectal cancer stage 3 survivor

5 Reactions@ammiatx when I had some abdominal pain, our first guess was vagus nerve issues, but we quickly moved on to imaging which gave answers…it seems that vagus nerve issues are difficult to diagnose and treat…more info is welcome here.

I appreciate your input. By imaging, do you mean a specific scan? If so, in what area of the body was the scan done?
@hopeful33250 abdominal CT, colonoscopy…blood tests…these tests made the definite diagnosis of CRC in my case.

2 Reactions@nycmusic, is there a treatment plan in place?
@nycmusic what is CRC?
@hopeful33250 this was back in 2024…I was promptly tested, diagnosed with aggressive adenocarcinoma of transverse colon..due to my mutations, given immunotherapy, followed by surgery..pathology then indicated cancer-free…acting quickly made all the difference.
