Constant dizziness/imbalance
I'm a 47 year old male, and I've been experiencing a non-spinning dizziness/imbalance feeling for over ten months now. It all started after having a sinus and ear infection. I've had and MRI of the head, balance testing, blood tests for any deficiencies, heart tests, all of which are negative. I am suppose to see a neurologist next. Anyone else having similar problems?

P/T was actually a trigger for my vestibular migraine. bummer. I am seeing someone who is a specialist in PPPD. Trying to get an appointment. I'll let you know what I learn.
I had to give up driving and can't walk for more that 10 minutes before becoming so dizzy I'll fall down. I tried exercising but so many triggers. Chair yoga for seniors helps, but not really a workout. Stretching, which is nice.

Actually, the steady coach is an Dr Yonit Arthur , audiologist, so watching the online videos while you wait might be helpful because she actually treats PPPD but from just you know the mind body experience she’s an expert in those symptoms
How do you find the videos? I also have continuing dizziness from a fall and some hearing issues so they may be appropriate. I have a P/T person who gave me some home exercises but they don't seem to be resulting in change.
Sounds like PPPD. I had similar symptoms, non spinning dizziness and disequilibrium, many tests, neurologists, Neuro opthamologist, ENT, accupuncture, chiropractor, PT. It's been 3 years and some days are bad and some are better, but it's always there. I exercise and walk to stay fit. This all seemed to start with cervical arthritis. PPPD as a condition is relatively new (2017) and many doctors are not knowledgeable. Hopefully research will improve treatment. Drugs are not the answer!

How did you find a doctor that treats PPPD? I have had it for 6 years and can no longer walk except with the aid of a rollator.
My primary doctor for pppd is a Neuro ophthalmologist simply because she's familiar with it. I'm not on any meds and she referred me for cognitive therapy and vestibular therapy. Neither has worked all that well, but I keep at balance therapy and opt I kinetic therapy as presented on youtube. Don't give up, keep trying. I also use Neckline for deep neck muscles and red light therapy. Research VEDA. sufferers sometimes know more than physicians.

2 ReactionsThank you for this video. Physical Therapy also can address this problem. The video shows many of the exercises that I did to help.
Treatment is very vague. I was diagnosed after two years by an ENT who then referred me to vestibular therapy. It didn't help much, but the steady coach on YouTube has offered the most helpful guidance. Try it! The options ate few and meds are not an option for me.
