Does anyone wake up daily at 3am?
I have problems falling sleep. I haven’t able to have good night sleep as fatas I can remember. Went I finally fell sleep I have broken sleep pattern, and I wake up every night at 3am, I do not know why and I cannot fall sleep again, sometimes I go back to sleep at 6am. I do not feel refreshed in the morning. I have black circle under my eyes from the lack of sleep. Also feel irritated, sad, and brain fog/forgetful from lack of sleep. This is terrible. Any one have similar issues. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

Sounds exactly what my problem is! It's very disheartening and is keeping the "quality" out of "Life"
Any suggestions on medications would be greatly appreciated, just don't mention CBT! I'm about to turn to CBD! I am 76 years old and cannot sleep. Haven't even yawned in years.
that’s true. I would probably take it for sleep but not good for copd. slows breathing too much so they say. .
CBD tincture helps me sleep. At my dosage, there is no “high” from it. The caveat is it builds up in the liver, so every couple of months it stops working. I need a 3 month detox before I can restart.
I would suggest having your cortisol tested.
Thank you for the information. I now have the ResMed CPAP for mild sleep apnea. I do not wake up at 3am any more.
@pjbcorsi1955 - cortisol is WNL.....All labs are WNL. I am taking Dupixent which does list insomnia as a side effect but it it so helpful with COPD, CB phenotype that I need additional assistance with my sleep issue.

1 ReactionI have periodic times of trouble sleeping and then suddenly I’m sleeping all week. I’ve tried various drinks and meds to help when this is happening but it seems to happen without any reason. Example of last night. I finished worrying and working on playing taps for our Co-op that I’ve been worried for 2 weeks. I figured that I would have 7-8 hours of good sleep. Nope! 4 hours and I up at 2am trying to get back to sleep. Can’t.

1 ReactionI’m a chronic insomniac since age 12, and this happens almost every night. My doctors have me taking a boatload of meds to knock me out at bedtime, and they work, but nothing seems to be able to keep me asleep. I’m now 70 and am seriously sleep deprived, and am forced to nap during the day - fall asleep sitting up. I wish I had some sort of solution for you, but sadly I don’t. I pray that they can find a solution for you. God bless and best wishes.
