Does anyone wake up daily at 3am?

I have problems falling sleep. I haven’t able to have good night sleep as fatas I can remember. Went I finally fell sleep I have broken sleep pattern, and I wake up every night at 3am, I do not know why and I cannot fall sleep again, sometimes I go back to sleep at 6am. I do not feel refreshed in the morning. I have black circle under my eyes from the lack of sleep. Also feel irritated, sad, and brain fog/forgetful from lack of sleep. This is terrible. Any one have similar issues. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

Thank you for the response.
Some background that may help explain my ?
Currently, I have an asv machine successfully treating my complex sleep apnea. My full mask is what it is… a hassle & although fitted properly is uncomfortable at best. Alternate breathing options i.e nose supply are a no go for me.
Learned Inspire implant is for obstructive apnea, Remedy for central apena.
Cannot have both implants, apparently they conflict w/ each other. So asking if there is one implant to address complex sleep apnea. Goal is to eliminate the machine & mask.
You didn’t mangle a thing! Like most medical issues it gets complicated & describing the same.
In the last 6 months since starting to address my sleep apnea learned enough to earn a medical degree in sleep apnea 😉
If I’ve still confused you no worries! Thanks again

Aah, well you'll probably be able to teach me more than I can teach you. I don't know about the Inspire product. I frequent the apneaboard.com fora and the various devices don't have a good rep on that series of fora, maybe only because the culture on those fora deal with all things PAP...mostly...almost totally. Here is one thread I found with a quick look-see:

I’m waking up at 2:00 or 3:00 am with my heart pounding, and slightly elevated every night. I use the bathroom and go back to bed. Heart still pounding. I try to sleep on my right side with the pounding, but I have stress dreams and wake up five or more times with my heart pounding. I went to a cardiologist and my heart is fine. But, this is definitely not good for my heart. My doctor says it’s Hyperarousal that then releases cortisol and adrenaline. Anyone else struggle with this? I don’t think it is sleep apnea.

Dr. A. Verma (my Doc) is Director of Uni of Texas Sleep Clinic/ Neurology Dept. in the Houston MED Center. I highly recommend her.
She & I discussed sleep apnea implants in the past, but as of last month nothing was yet developed for what I was asking input today. Hopefully something will be available in the near future!

Hi livelivetothefullest, You need to ask your doctor for a sleep medication. Sleep is very very important for our overall health and quality of life. Alot of us need a sleep med/aid and benefit tremendously from taking it! You may have to try a few different ones to find the one that works best for you. But it's definitely worth the quest to find it! Because you're fighting for yourself! An over the counter sleep med is Unisom with ingredient Doxylamine. Make sure it has that ingredient.....because it works great! Also a generic brand if Benadryl also works great. Ingredient is diphenhydramine. Good luck!

Just a gentle caution about taking anything without an expert's agreement or advice:

it may work but is hard on your brain, can cause dementia. Also not good if you have copd. It slows your breathing

gloaming, of course everyone should speak to their doctor about it first. I assumed she or her would do that.

Hi Elizabeth, I've had RLS for many years. Nobody knows
what causes it, and nobody knows what cures it. Please
tell me your situation...age...severity of RLS...medications,
how long have you had RLS, etc. Feel free to ask questions.

Yes, I've had it for years. Runs in the family. Excellent help with compression socks up to the knee at bedtime. Also, my doctors prescribed gabapentin at bedtime. Helps a lot. Good luck!
