I tried naltrexone, but I began to get mouth sores and rashes. I had to go off of it and then they put me on cymbalta. It worked great for 8 months until I began to get weird rashes, so I can't use that either. I wish I could find another one to try because I'm so sick of not sleeping.

1 ReactionYes, yes and Yes! It's the absolute worst at night and the reason I don't sleep.
Ugh. I’m so sorry. Another resource I’ve found helpful is an app called Turnto. It’s free (totally free). It’s all info about long Covid.
I also went to a long Covid clinic where I live and they gave me this list to try:
1- NAC 600 mg twice a day on an empty stomach.
They said to try it for a month, you’ll know my then if it’s working.
If not, wait about two weeks then try the next one.
2- ultra micronized PEA 600 mg once a day. Take it with luteolin 60 mg per day. These are for long Covid inflammation.
Hoping you can find something that helps!
@c1john I have had Long Covid for over 1 year. I find different times of the day and especially night cause temperature dis-regulation with both heat and cold. I am especially impacted if I have not had enough sleep. Yesterday, my temp started at about 99.2. It dropped about .5 degrees Fahrenheit every hour until it leveled off at about 96.4. Since we lose so much heat from the top of our heads, I applied a well-wrapped head scarf. Out sweat more than is believable, I washed & dried my feet put on clean, loose fitting and warm socks. I was still Uncomfortable between “hot and cold” with a below normal temp, so I took a warm sitting bath, got thoroughly dry and changed all my other clothing. I am severely Agoraphobia,, so trips to the PCP are all via Telehealth. I have Asthma so inhalers also disregulaate my autonomic system. I finally fell into a comfortable and easy sleep with soothing meditation music playing and woke up in much better condition 🙂 I am needing the heater again this afternoon, though. I plan to talk to my PCP. It is difficult to know what is best at times. My Best Wishes to you.

2 Reactions@mccelt2025 I meant our **feet** Sweat,😓 sorry!
When LC hit me in 3/22 my body temp many times dropped alarmingly low. Lowest was 94.1. I was told that was impossible. NOT! During PT i have often experienced convulsive shivering. Felt like i was outside in the snow. Everytime my body temp has dropped radically, my eyeballs felt so cold like an arctic breeze was blowing on them. My current situation is the back and forth feeling of cold and hot. The unbelievable hot flashes and drenching sweats at night are not hormonal based...no matter what some say. Im 60 and way past menopause. The LC study i participated in nailed it...temp dysregulation. Cold wet cloth around neck helps!!
