Prolia treatment for osteoporosis: What is your experience?
I received the results from my bone test and they have recommended I start Prolia. I have read the side effects and I am concerned. Has anyone use this drug and if so what side effects have you experienced. Thank you

@swim4ever sounds good you go for it then
My PT says swimming is good for you overall but won’t help with the osteoporosis as it’s not weight bearing.
@twocents true but the wt bearing is swimming helps move your skeleton ,bones in back
@twocents: Correct. That is why I walk, and do not use the bicycle, or any other machine at my gym other than walking. Of course I do weights also, especially for my legs. I also find that most pools, other than outdoor pools, smell strongly like the chemicals they put in the pool. Having had several outdoor pools, I know not only chlorine is added, but also muriatic acid, that can cause damage your eyes, nose, throat and lungs if fumes are inhaled. Already having asthma, I prefer to be in an environment that does not risk breathing potentially toxic fumes. My "bronchials" get tight any time I walk into a enclosed pool.
@tikigod18- Good morning. I had to make a decision whether to try the shot or not. I decided not to. As a lung cancer survivor I don't want anything to add to any discomfort.
@merpreb: Hugs and prayers
I have started using a vibration machine in an effort to strength bones.
Did it work
So fat it is the only form of calcium that my stomach can tolerate! Probably won’t know how well it works until I have further testing but will let you know when I know anything! At least I don’t have the joint pain I was having on the Prolia.
Thank you and I wish you well
