Prolia treatment for osteoporosis: What is your experience?
I received the results from my bone test and they have recommended I start Prolia. I have read the side effects and I am concerned. Has anyone use this drug and if so what side effects have you experienced. Thank you

@swim4ever A Centrum Vitamin-Mineral plus Vit D ,Calcium @Magnesium these are extra but also go to a gym if near you generally there are trainers there that can help you
Thank you I'm an avid swimmer but gotta start with weights
@swim4ever Becareful on the weights I would suggest the bike small wts 5 lbs or Push against wall your using your own weight then work up ,good luck
Thanks, cant do the bike, cracked my hip 10 years ago due to a doctors advice...ugh
@swim4ever Just do what you can I'm sure a trainer at gym can help you ,maybe the treadmill?
I have had a Prolia shot once a year for 3 years. I have had infections within the 6 months after each shot requiring antibiotic treatment each time. Prolia seems to affect my immune system so I am not going to take any more injections. I think the Infections may kill me before the fractures do but I am carefully watching my diet, doing yoga, cardio and weight training!! We shall see how this works!! I am also taking Algaecal because I can’t tolerate other calcium supplements. I am working up to 2 tablets daily and so far so good.
Let me know in a couple of months how Algecal works out
Thank you for all this info
@shazam1011 Glad to hear your helping yourself May I suggest beside the Algaecal you tke D@K as these vitamin complement each other in our bodies maybe what your on has this in it Im not familiar with Algaecal
I take calcium, D3, magnesium, other vitamins, milky oat tops tincture( rich in calcium and magnesium) I swim 2-3 times a week and just stared back to pilates one a week
