Anyone's drug insurance pay for 7% saline for nebulizer treatments. I do treatments twice a day --$43/60 doses--
I have Cigna-- That is with Good Rx!!
Anyone able to provide imfo to help me with costs for 7% saline?

I was diagnosed at 60 2 years ago. My current insurance carrier - NorCal Kaiser - pharmacy charges $10/month for 7% solution 2x daily.

Hi Judy,
This is Flo @frankie160,
I've been trying for 3 years to get the Saline covered and getting close.
If I'm successful, I will send everyone a note. Otherwise, I pay $49 at CVS.

I pay about $3.00 at Walmart pharm for 100 vials 7%, but I need the prescription to get coverage through Humana PPO Medicare plan.

I use CVS for all of my non lung medications but I use Walgreens for the 7% saline. They have my prescription for it and only use my GoodRX for 60 vials 4 ml. I pay $10.28 per month and have been doing this for a year and a half. No insurance is involved, only the GoodRX

Hi Flo,
I am like you-- I am trying so hard to get some help with mt 7% saline---$46 for 25 vials for a month is so expensive for me. And this is with Good Rx at Walmart!! Don't know what to do. 70 cents a treatment 2x/day is too expensive for me. Medicare says Part B will pay for 7% saline if Albuterol is pd from Part B also.
My Cigna pays for albuterol. Maybe if I can chg the albuterol to Part B.
This is exhausting. I wish I had a pharmacy friend🙏🏻

I initially said 100 vials 7%, it's 240 vials of 7%. I pay about $3.00 at Walmart. My insurance is Humana PPO.

Sodium Chloride 7% vial twice a day, 120 days supply, I paid $10.00 at CVS Pharmacy, in AZ.

Was that using insurance? About 18 months ago, CVS in told me Mcare didn't pay and charged me about 30-35, though price dropped a few bucks when I told them it was cheaper at Amazon.

Either paid by Medicare and/or my Aetna insurance; cost $ 10,- for 120 days.

Johns' Hopkins pharmacist told me Medicare will not pay for sodium chloride even when prescribed with albuterol because the instructions must say to mix them together, which you would never do. Use Walgreen with Good RX coupon $10.28 for 30 days.
