Chronic migraine relief suggestions
I have chronic daily migraines and have had these for many years. I’m seeing a neurologist and we’re doing Botox and other preventatives plus the new Emgality. I cannot take your normal abortives like Imitrex or Maxalt. I was prescribed Toradol injections to give myself at home, plus muscle relaxers. Well my stomach can not handle the Toradol or any NSAID anymore. Any suggestions on pain relief? I tried CBD products and they did nothing. I do ice packs and dark quiet rooms, I’m very well informed on what to do as far as that aspect. I’m just so frustrated and upset, I get these horrible migraines that last for days sometimes weeks and I have nothing at home for pain relief. I can’t go to the ER every time. I’m only 41 and migraines have ruined my life. Thanks in advance

1 ReactionThank you soo much.
Caffeine helps me as a preventative. I can always lower the caffeine to get off it without a headache, but I can't get myself out of this daily migraine loop without a Neuro.

1 ReactionAlso, I'm now taking an anantidepressant for additional serotonin and Nortrytaline for the other feel good chemical. I've been amazed at how helpful this additional of Nort. has been to my mental outlook. I demanded it from my Neuro last week, low doses because of my high dose of serotonin.
I'm wondering if sumatriptan in the form of injection or nasal spary might work. I haven't a clue, but suppositories --do they bypass your stomach? Absorbed in the intestines?
I really feel for you.
Try other Neuros.
I think it's the drop in barometric pressure that causes these migraines. Me, too.
