Has anyone used Trelegy?
I have been on Advair HFA for a long time, over 10 years. My COPD per tests today is stable, but I have wondered if I should switch to something different. I did not know the doctor I saw today but I had had a PFT test, shared my thoughts about being so long on Advair & she right off the bat suggested Trelogy. A once a day discus inhaler, bye bye to Advair & Incruse! Now that I have switched, I am anxious, primarily because I didn't get to discuss this with her. OR my doctor! I am going to try to contact him tomorrow but meanwhile would like to hear from anyone re Trelogy &/or Advair.

I have COPD and have used several medications (and for five years have used a CPAP machine at night for sleep apnea). I've now been on Trelegy as my main COPD med for well over a year. it's been by far the best medication I've ever used. No side effects, easy once a day dosing. And my pulmonologist is happy with the state of my lungs, which appear stable or slightly improved on Trelegy. I do wish it cost less; my insurance covers most of it, but not everyone is so fortunate.
PS I'm 94 and female, in an independent - living apartment in a Minnesota retirement community.
Yes, it would be wonderful if all medications would be more affordable for all!
My pulmonologist prescribed Trelegy Ellipta for me (I have lung cancer) to help with shortness of breath and wheezing. I was diagnosed with mild COPD three years ago but it never interfered with my lifestyle until I got cancer. The Trelegy has worked great for me. Since I'm on Medicare, my co-pay is a little steep and I wouldn't continue taking it if I wasn't getting such good results with it. Now I think it's worth every penny. I have almost no wheezing and my shortness of breath issues have much improved.
This year, folks on Medicare D plans are supposed to have a $2000 cap on all medications. Once you reach that amount out of pocket the rest are supposed to have $0 copay. This should help many folks.
Here’s a story about the new $2000 cap.

Has anyone tried to get a drug like Trilogy for free or at reduced price through the manufacturer or even government and HOW? Thk you. Have a happy day.
You can get a coupon for elegy if you don’t have insurance/like Medicare
Elegy-I meant
Even if you have Medicare plus Insurance associated with Medicare - It costs a fortune - does anyone have costs associated with this drug? Using Food RX is cheaper than using Humana. (much Cheaper).
