Has anyone used Trelegy?
I have been on Advair HFA for a long time, over 10 years. My COPD per tests today is stable, but I have wondered if I should switch to something different. I did not know the doctor I saw today but I had had a PFT test, shared my thoughts about being so long on Advair & she right off the bat suggested Trelogy. A once a day discus inhaler, bye bye to Advair & Incruse! Now that I have switched, I am anxious, primarily because I didn't get to discuss this with her. OR my doctor! I am going to try to contact him tomorrow but meanwhile would like to hear from anyone re Trelogy &/or Advair.

I have been on Trelegy for about 2years and it has been great. I have not had to be hospitalized so far this winter. Which is a big win for me. I highly recommend Trelegy
I loved Trelegy! Unfortunately, it had a side effect I could not risk. I had to stop it and am now on Breo Ellipta, which is okay, but not as good as Trelegy.
What was the side effect?
I have been on Trelegy for almost two years . I can’t really say how it works . It is the only drug I have ever used for my emphysema. They diagnosed me with stage 4 when I went to ER for help . I live in an area that hasn’t a lot of medical choices. My 6 min walk at the ER went to 83 o2.
The guy still didn’t make a decision . I told him that I was not pretending . lol , they finally held me over for a ct the next day. That exposed the problem . I have never been told what my FEV is . I have been on Trelegy since that day
What was the side effect?
Urinary retention which I'm already being treated for. Kind of rare, but I can't chance it.
I've been on Trelegy for a couple of years. It helps. But not as much as I wish - I do know it helps because I couldn't remember taking it one day. Since I'm told to NOT take it 2x a day, I went without and there was a difference in my breathing. To my knowledge, there have been no side effects to using it.
I’ve been on Trelefy since November. Before this, I was on 3 separate inhalers. I find Trelegy easier to remember to take since it’s only once daily. I haven’t noticed any bad side effects. I have noticed my resting saturation rates used to be 92-93. Now they are sometimes 95-96.
I rarely was able to take my meds 12 hours apart and would often take them when waking and again at bedtime. That didn’t space them well because I’d often wake around 7 and go to bed near midnight. This is much easier to take every 24 hours or so.
Hi, Thanks to all who posted about using trelegy. I tried it about a year ago but the anxiety was not easy. I have since learned to work with the anxiety and would like to try it again. Thank you for all your posts about it! It helped me to decide to give it another try if the doctor agrees!!
Starting my 3rd year on Trelegy. Only side effect is a little horseness. It seems to have stabilized my breathing which was on the decline. I have COPD Asthma and a bit of emphysema. I also went on the Mindful Breathing exercise program 2 yrs ago, love it, highly recommend it. I do have one big issue with it, Price. When I hit the donut hole last year I was paying up to $140/mo, so far this year it's way under.
