I hate when I hear that their doctor has dismissed them! It’s frustrating! I too have long covid (over 2 years no taste or smell) and on occasion will get these severe cramping in my lower extremities and body tremors. It will usually happen when I’m over tired and have been on my feet a lot. I have been using LMNT Electrolyte Hydration packets pretty regularly and they seem to help as they’re loaded with magnesium, potassium and sodium. I also try not to get over tired. I wish you well on your health journey!

Yes, I tried this protocol. It did not help any of my symptoms.
However everybody is different and I think it helps some people.
I have taken magnesium for a long while. It has been so helpful, especially for RLS which could be part of your problem. Foods high in MSG should also be avoided, especially late in the day.
i have also found compression socks to be very helpful. i wear them day and night. i have a drawer full of them now (from Amazon). some up to the knee some above. it really helps at night.
I get this crazy spasm like my stomach sucks in by itself and out..I feel like a crazy person when I tell my Dr this..he has absolutely no reply. The muscles in my stomach just go crazy like contractions. I'm so tired od all this. Could be my diaphragm who knows, it does scare me. It only happens when I'm laying down. I start to massage my stomach and change position. Just another thing on my long covid list. I'd like to know if anyone else gets this. Thanks.
that should not be dismissed!
I have tremors I had benign tremors coming into Covid and now it's so much worse and also bad muscle weakness. I've been to five neurologist and they give me the usual test and they either say I'm fine or there's nothing they can do. So I have no advice on this matter except that it's important to keep moving try walking if you can and I have to use my arms so there you go. Good luck to us all
Has anyone found anything that worked for interal vibration tremors? I've had then in my trunk since July, initially along my spine while lying in bed but now full body and also now daytime, full body. Theyre not visible. Ive made progress with other Long Covid symptoms of fatigue and neuro pain with LDN, physical therapy, red light therapy, functional medicine docs. Nothing helps this. Any suggestions?
Hi Norbert,
Here’s a quick recap of the pieces I think have had the greatest impact:
- Post-Covid syndrome education classes (understanding exactly what you’re up against from a viral infection is so important)
- One-on-one work with a wellness coach to assist with developing the best habits to handle the common setbacks from a viral infection
- The above work really helped stabilize my vitals, i.e. heart rate, blood pressure (Mayo did a great job with the tests they put me through and use the information to guide the treatment plan)
- Am working with a cardiologist on an exercise program developed for Covid patients with heart arrhythmia issues
- Assessed all my previous meds and worked on a plan to taper off my prior meds to eliminate side effects
- Started me on a new med they have been experimenting with Long Haul patients, Low Dose Naltrexone - this has been a game-changer for me to help manage the previous symptoms holding me back (she could internet search the med and Long Covid to pull up the details on how it helps)
Sorry for the rather lengthy msg…let me know if I could help with anything specific.

Yes, Gabapentin helped but I don’t need it anymore. Dr prescribed it because he thought I had Parkinson’s but that turned out to not be the case. I was on 200 mg 3x/wk.
