Anyone been prescribed Ohtuvayre (new med)? Your experience?
Has anyone been prescribed the new COPD medication by their treatment team....Ohtuvayre? Just wondering if it now active, how it is effecting patients and how well it does/doesn't work

I do also take Breztri as I have in the past 3 years
About to start. Adding it to Trelegy, budesonide and Ipratroprium. Wish me luck!
Be sure to go over all your meds with adding a new one so you aren’t doubling a dose of a med or two in same category. For example, Trelegy contains an ICS, which is what budesinide is—both are inhaled steroids. It also contains a LAMA, which may conflict with your ipatropium. Best to consult with your provider and/or pharmacist about this.
I'm trying to get on Ohtuvayre. I've had 2 'bridge' orders sent but I couldn't get the solution to mix - it had white clumps in it after it was vigorously shaken. My pulmonologist had his staff look into it and there are not supposed to be clumps. I'm waiting now to see what happens. Another batch? Clearly, I'm not taking it. Disappointed - I was hoping it would help with the disgusting mucus!
Just adding that I take Trelegy and can't take budesonide with it. Check with your Dr. or pharmacist - not sure they can be taken together.
I thought i posted this the other day but I don’t see it so I’ll post again. I’m wondering if anyone has seen their sob worsened with Ohtuvayre? I’ve been on it for about 6 weeks now. Definitely no improvement. I had planned to give it 3 months. but lately have really been practically gasping for air most all day-not at rest. I’m on oxygen 24/7. And now a round of prednisone which doesn’t seem to be helping. Just thought that perhaps I’m having a reaction to the Ohtuvayre. Will check with dr on Monday but thought I’d ask here.
I’m hoping this is not the normal progression of the emphysema. 🙏🙏
I was on t for four weeks with no change. Doc says keep on. Two weeks later I crashed and spent three days in hospital. Don't know how this docs other patients are doing. She put off my next appointment until May. Another from same practice had seen me in the hospital. Nothing was changed in my meds, this was added on.
What do you mean when you say’crashed’?? How? How long have you been off? Are you better now?
Sorry for so many questions. But docs don’t seem to know.
Not sure that I understand what you mean by "you crashed." But do hope all is better! Ohtuvayre (OH) is meant to be an add-on medication. There certainly was alot of hype, their stock is going up and prescriptions are being written by the thousands, however, the feed-back that I have seen has not been all that great! Am so disappointed as I have had issues with Dupixent and Daliresp.....so was hoping this would be the answer!
Wife’s taken it 2 weeks -0 improvement
