Anyone been prescribed Ohtuvayre (new med)? Your experience?

Has anyone been prescribed the new COPD medication by their treatment team....Ohtuvayre? Just wondering if it now active, how it is effecting patients and how well it does/doesn't work

I tried this for a month, very hopeful. Worked good first day then went down hill after 2 weeks saw no improvement at all, got a UTI which is a side effect & also had suicidal thoughts another side effect, very disappointed. It was so expensive $600.00 for a month.

I was concerned that there was just alot of hype! I've really come across very few people that have reaped any benefit at all. Don't know exactly why the PDE drugs seem to cause psychological side effects........very unpleasant!

I am so far, after 6 months, very happy with Ohtuvayre.
It has given me more stamina, much improvement with SOB with zero side effects. Fingers crossed it continues.

Thank you for your feedback1 How long did it take before you realized benefit from it? The Enhance studies do mention data results at the 12 and 24 week interval......Not a lot of post-market information, as it is too new. Have read that it is not a new drug just nebulized theophyline.....these were NIH articles and research papers. I suppose I was expecting a more rapid response. Will give thought as to restarting it. Appreciate your input.

I was started on Trelegy after two days side effects were sore throat, lost voice, runny nose and lots of mucus. Terrible medicine at least for me, waiting for medicine Ensifentrine/Ohtuvayre should have within a week in hope that this helps without side effects. I also have been reading about dupixent and wondering if anyone has tried this new medicine? And what your results were?

I started on Dupixent in 11/23 and it worked great until about 5/24....don't know whether I developed antibodies to it or eosinophilic pneumonia as my physician has not tested for that. Had a Dupixent holiday for about three weeks and started again. The major problem was that the congestion/secretions did not improve but seemed to be worse. I am going to request a serology test for antibodies. Of all the medications other than the "normal inhalers" I feel that Dupixent probably holds the most promise, but I do think that whether it is used for asthma or COPD the key is do you have Type II inflammation.

It took me about 3 weeks before noticing a big difference. I don’t believe it is theophyline, it is ensifentrine.. I started with only once daily the first week, trying to be cautious and then twice daily after.
