How long did you take a statin before you started feeling side-effects?

I've been on them for 20 years and I don't think I have side effects. Everyone is different.

Been on atorvastatin for seven years - no side effects ever felt.

Me either. Sometimes knees ache but I can’t be sure it is statins causing.

Less than two years. I probably had fatigue and lightheadedness before that, but I developed leg cramps which led to a diagnosis of rhabdomyolysis. It turns out that many of the personnel who helped me also had that condition and it can lead to serious kidney and liver damage. I'd suggest taking side effects seriously. Apparently the condition doesn't necessarily present early, but can take several years to appear.

Statins are proven drugs, but some of us have negative effects from them with muscle fatigue, etc... I have a few natural options that I have used that I like (nattokinase, citrus bergamot, etc...)
