High Coronary Calcium Score: How do others feel emotionally?
I have a calcium score of 1,950 which is extremely high which means I am at a very high risk for a cardiac event, heart attack, stroke or sudden death.
I take a statin and baby aspirin. I have never been sick, have excellent cholesterol, low blood pressure and I am not overweight. I have no other health problems and I have never been sick. But I feel like a walking time bomb which has caused me a lot of stress. I am 70 yrs old.
I wonder how others with this condition feel emotionally?

How are you doing? Still well I hope
Im so worried my husband is 62 and just had the same scan done. His coronary calcium score is 1100. I'm so scared. His cholesterol is good, takes no medication, works out like crazy.
How are you doing Mcphee?
Can you provide hisblood chemistry metrics? Many folks say their cholesterol is "good," but without numbers it is hard to assess. Also, how about blood pressure?
Total cholesterol 157. HDL 57. LDL 84. Triglycerides 71. His blood pressure is normal but I will check for his latest one. 134/86 a little high
If 134/86 range consistent, it is likely high ... and, given his age, and CAC score, he fits the profile for statins.
In general, many shoot for 100 total cholesterol, and LDL and triglycerides around 50.
