I have never heard of either of those for COPD. They may be beneficial.
I have never heard of either of these treatments for copd either and would like to know more about it if anyone had any more information. Thanks.
I find it very discouraging to constantly hear that there is no cure for
copd. Google for alternate possibly helpful treatments...
In all my research into COPD, I have never encountered a research paper re stem cell treatment for COPD. I did come across a country, I believe that was in the Caribbean that did offer stem cell treatment....$25,000. Seeking and trying to receive treatment can be very expensive and not effective. Please be VERY careful! To date there are no studies, literature etc on cures for COPD.
Here is what I found about the Stem Cell: Exogenous mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) have been reported to repair the structure and improve the function of the injured respiratory system in COPD models. However, the studies that used MSCs in patients with moderate-to-severe COPD patients did not lead to clear respiratory functional improvements. For laser treatment: "Intravenous laser treatment" for COPD, also known as "intravascular laser irradiation of blood (ILIB)" or "vascular photobiomodulation (VPBM)", is a potential treatment where low-level laser light is delivered through an intravenous catheter, aiming to reduce inflammation and improve lung function in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) by modulating cellular processes at the systemic level; however, this treatment is still considered experimental and requires further research to confirm its efficacy and safety.
I appreciate all the comments
however, if we wait for studies and FDA approvals, it will take forever
we have to educate and inform ourselves and simply try
We are educating ourselves by reading studies and experimental efforts to reduce the effects of COPD. If there are no studies, literature how would one become educated on the subject. There are all sorts of scams out there, and predators waiting to take your money with false claims of cures without the documentation to support their claims. If you are willing to spend the money chasing it, then go for it! I will stick to the scientific studies and statistical data that indicates a reason/reasons for treatment options. There are also clinical trials that one may become a participant!
Well you shouldn't order anything for COPD from online. You always get a prescription from your doctor once you have read about a new treatment. It's best the doctor investigate it further to see if it's legit and if it is he might prescribe it to you depending on your overall health.
In review of my post I do not see any inference that anything to treat COPD be ordered on line! So I am confused about your response. I thoroughly agree any treatment received should be reviewed. provided and monitored by an experienced, capable physician.
Taipan inferred that one should not wait on studies and FDA approval not me. So please read the threads carefully.
