Has Anyone taking Camzyos Experienced Higher Blood Pressure Readings?

Posted by Chiaska @bestseller2025, May 25 8:51am

I had been on Carvedilol for 4 years before starting Camzyos about a month ago. My fatigue issues have lessened significantly and now I can exercise and have a more fulfilling lifestyle in general. But, I am experiencing high blood pressure with Camzyos, and according to my regular doctor that is because Carvedilol lowered my blood pressure. Has anyone else dealt with this issue and if so, what has your cardiologist suggested? I would appreciate knowing what others have been advised. Thank you for any feedback. Debra

Good day. I am wondering whether it’s OK to vary the blood pressure medication from day to day. When I take a reasonably high dose of Candasarten (24mg) for a few days, my blood pressure drops to about 105/65. But if I don’t take the higher dose and reduce it by a 1/3, then my blood pressure goes way up. I’m wondering if I can take a high dose one day, then lower the dosage the next. I don’t see my cardiologist again until November. Thanks. Be well

Hi @susanml
I did it lowering the dosage and my Cardiologist was not happy with that. He took me an echocardiogram then he re adjusted the dosage for me and I am doing fine now. There must be a reason why he did not like what I did. I am losing weight so my blood pressure has a trend to go down. I will ask my Cardiologyst what to do on teleapointment so I do not need to go to his office after he made the adjustement on the dosage.
I suggest you to talk to your Cardiologist about that.

Many thanks for your response. Self medication seems to be frowned upon by the professionals. Just thought I could manage myself for the time being.

it seems to me like you should call your doctors office and/or nurse and leave a message with that question. Most doctors have a way you can contact them on an app or something like that. That doesn’t seem like a place you want to get advice from other patients.

Hi, the issue with possible higher blood pressure while on Camzyos was explained to me by my cardiologist.
As Camzyos works to lesson the symptoms of blockage of cardiac blood flow it it can cause a rise in blood pressure since your cardiac blood flow is more normalized.
Blood pressure meds probably will need to be adjusted as mine have been.

I've been on camzyos over a year. I have never had high blood pressure and mine has stayed low. I do take a beta blocker. All of us are different but I hope you find an answer
