Has anyone tried Umary Hialuronica Acidio from Mexico?

Posted by jixster @jixster, Feb 20 12:16pm

I bought a bottle of this UMARY Hialuronica Acidio from Amazon - I wanted something to help with my morning stiffness from PMR. I tried one pill mid- afternoon and the next morning I felt like new! No pain - no stiffness. BUT - after reading some negative reviews on Amazon I became aware of some possible issues, that because it works so well there must be an unlisted ingredient(s) - perhaps a NSAID OR A STEROID? One person mentioned after a couple months of using it started to mess up his liver enzymes. Since I am on 10mg of prednisone I decided to only take this supplement once every 4 days until I see my rheumatologist in April - I did not see any warning from the FDA for Umary - there are many more positive reviews than negative reviews on Amazon- I wish I could get it analyzed to be sure it’s safe but I don’t know where such can be done.

I and many others have been taking it for over a year. It has been discussed with pharmacists, Dr's, etc. It has been so overwhelmingly effective for most of us. I have arthritis in my hands and could not close my hand to make a fist. Especially in the summer when I do a lot of flower and garden work with my hands. I now can close and make a fist and I do not have the constant pain. In the past year, this group of friends and I have aPssed on our success with Umary to many friends and family and ALL OF THEM are now using Umary. As for what FDA and other experts say, I take their advice with a grain of salt or maybe a lot of salt. There are so many discrepancies in their stories that it makes a lot of what they say questionable. If it helps you use it. If you have concerns about it talk to a Dr. or pharmacist. Many helpful meds come to us that are made in other countries although the FDA may say differently. As for harmful ingredients...that is a possibility. But then again so many meds that FDA approves have harmful ingredients. Don't buy meds from Canadian pharmacies because we don't know what their ingredients are.. the lists go on and on. FDA is a level of protection from harmful drugs but they also are not above using their "power" to also tout many untruthful comments.

I have been using this since January everyday. But starting having diarrhoea issues and just now thinking maybe it’s the Umary? I love it as it works! Osteoarthritis in both knees, and I love to play tennis. This is the only thing that really helped would be nice to know more about this topic. I purchased from amazon.

I have wondered the same thing. I was using it every day for five months because it was helping with my rheumatoid arthritis. I put on 15 pounds that I cannot lose even though I stopped taking it. This is a telltale sign of steroids. I also have the puffy moon face and upper body weight, and had some strange thyroid tests.

Did you and your friends gain weight since taking it? I think it has steroids in it.

I’m definitely interested. I don’t know if it’s answered prayers or this product but after ten years of pain the doctors couldn’t explain one dose of this and I felt like a new woman. Please reply to this post results. I hear there’s talk of discontinuing it,

@karin10 I don’t weigh often and didn’t while taking this. Many have gotten results from some drug testers indicating there is a significant amount of diclofenac in it. Hylauronic acid attracts water so maybe the gain was from that. I know I have tried all the ingredients listed independently and nothing helped like Umary. I think it is the combo plus the unstated diclofenac that makes it efficient.

I gained about 7 pounds in two months. Some of the reviews on Amazon noted weight gain too. I have stopped taking it but my knee pain is terrible. I had almost no pain when using Umary. I am tempted to order again but worried about the side effects.

Non of us have. Of the many we know that are on it, no one has stated issues weight or otherwise. One of them is a savy "RN" who has tried it several different ways, straight Umary, a mix of Umary and hialuronic acid tabs, other mess that claim to have the same effect as Umary and none of them have been effective in reducing her arthritic pain as straight umary has been. The bottom line is what you are comfortable taking for yourself. We've had tremendous success, but you need to do what's best for you. Just remember, it's not a cure all for all joint pain. I have degenerative arthritis in my lower back that is debilitating at times. The Umary doesn't help with that. But the stiffness and pain in my hands is so much better. Also, it is not a cure, it is supplement like aspirin is, it helps but doesn't cure.

My wife took Umary for 3 months with great results. She did gain water weight. However, she also developed swelling in her ankles and bruising on her lower legs. This went away about two weeks after stopping UMary. She also lost about five pounds. Currently she is experiencing loss of appetite and dizziness due to low blood pressure and continues to avoid taking UMary. It seems to me that it does have a steroid component. A few of our friends have stopped taking UMary on a daily basis and only take it when they feel it is necessary. This seems to mitigate the danger of overdosing from the amount of diclofenac (or other pain killers) that it contains.
I still am not comfortable about the hidden ingredients that may be in this product. I hope that someone has definitive information about UMary. At least, this would give all of us information to help manage the use of UMary and minimize the impact of reported side effects.

I agree with you…. I didn’t gain weight. This really works for pain and movement in my knees. Would just like to know what if any side effects are? How long should I take it? I really don’t understand how I can purchase something off amazon that works better than anything the doctors recommend. But yet the medical industry or the doctors can’t give us anything that works???
