A Creed For Caregivers
I am a gifted writer (meaning I have no talent for it, it just comes to me)
One of the subjects I wrote on was the caregiver.
Feel free to share with other caregivers!
You are appreciated!!

Just so beautiful and inspiring Joe! I feel your Creed is something I need to share with my husband, daughter and son. It is fantastic to say the least!! I am disabled with Arachnoiditis due to 7 spinal fusions with a 10 day spinal leak! I am in extreme pain and my husband of 51 years has been diagnosed with dementia. We are blessed having our adult son living with us and helping us take care of each other as well as loving our 17 year old little "Teddy Bear" dog who has us all trained!! You are very gifted sharing your wisdom with all of us. Thank you so much for we are blessed by you!! Sincerely, Lanie

My most sincere and humble thanks to you for your comments! My heart breaks for you and your pain...I am 7 weeks post spinal fusion and a micro discectomy. Fusion of L2-4 and the discectomy was between L4-L5. I've been told it could be up to 6 months before I feel normal again. These two were my 14th and 15th big surgeries lol... looking to be a contestant if they ever host a show called "Scar Search"..
It is so wonderful to read of longevity in marriage! 51 years!! My wife and I will celebrate 41 in June! It's good that your son is being so helpful! We have 5 children from 38 down to 18 lol 3 were adopted as a sibling group in 2009!
My heart breaks for your husband and dementia... both my in laws passed away from that.
Ironically I just recently penned a piece that deals with that. If you know anything about my poetry, know that it's never planned, never thought out, and usually takes me less than 5 minutes to write, without any editing, or searching for the right words. These pieces come to me at any time, and in any place. From parking lots, to behind the wheel. I've written at banquets, and in church during a funeral. I don't edit, I just write what comes, and do my magic to make it presentable.
I am attaching a copy of the poem written for altzheimers and dementia patients, I hope it helps you in some way...
Peace

Took a picture with my phone to read this daily, it's beautiful🙏🏽✝️❤️
I am honored that my writings have meant something to many. I have many more poems post on Facebook, just look up my name, and you can find me. I have covered a myriad of subjects other than just transplant life, that you may find tugging at your heart strings equally.
Peace

Hi Joe,
My son is turning 41 so probably qualifies for the older children poem.
For now, my choices to post would still be “Another Day” and “Call on Us.”
Thank you for the link. I’ll check out more of your poetry soon. 😊
I didn't realize I had not done a typeset and print of "Call On Us" so I had to type it out, typeset it, format it, print it, and scan it... LOL
Here are the three you said I should share, I hope these make you smile!
Peace

Dearest Joe, so beautiful of a gift God has given you! Thank you for sharing your caring and loving thoughts with the world and me. I am crying for your words hit home for so many who love someone with this horrible disease! Thank you for putting into words what so many have trouble doing. Only with God do I survive each day. I believe we are sent special people who help us continue along life's path. God works in such mysterious ways to support us. Thank you Joe for putting into words the gifts you are given. You are a special gift! Sounds like you and your family adopting and growing your family has been a loving gift given to all your family! May God continue to bless you in your healing journey Joe.

I am honored once again and find it very overwhelming and humbling being able to share more of my works... God has been very kind and generous to me! I have a poem I wrote, that when it came to me, I had to race to the computer and write as fast as I could. It almost came out faster than I can type! I think you need this one today... sending a hug from Illinois!
Once again just beautiful dear heart! I believe you are also a servant of God. Thank you a thousand times for sharing your heart with others. Hugs to you.

Thank you again! I truly believe that one of the many reasons my life was spared, and I was given this amazing second chance at life was because God had greater plans for me. I had no idea at the younger age of 35, I would begin on a path to touch lives across the world, by simply sharing a gift He gave me. I cannot and will not take credit for the writings I've penned, simply because that is the gift He gave me, and I believe I am doing what He intended me to.
I just am hoping to be able to publish another book (or it may take two) for the 250+ poems I've penned since the book first came out. I am going to have to self publish, and with ADD... lol it's a little overwhelming! God will guide me in my path.
I am thrilled you are happy with the poems! I hope all who read will find something of value in their own lives.
Peace and
God Bless
