I worry about it constantly!
I was diagnosed with an abdominal aortic aneurysm three years ago and worry about it constantly. Depending on where I get it scanned, I've been told that its between 3.2 cm and 3.4 cm. in size. Every time I feel any kind of abdominal discomfort, I worry that it's leaking or about to rupture. Im a mess! Have any of you had yours for long periods of time? Is there a chance it will never cause problems?

I had mine for five years 3.5 had it monitored every 6 months. It is now 5 cm so I am having surgery at Mayo on Feb 6.
It may never grow.

Did it change from 3.5 to 5.0 suddenly or very gradually?
That is really encouraging to hear you have had this for many years and it didn't keep growing. Was just diagnosed with a 4.3 aaa and I'm pretty freaked out. I am 65 and very athletic; take no meds. I need to see some type of doc that has experience with athletes. I am seeing a cardiologist on 9/2. Did you exercise during those years after finding it?
