Recently diagnosed “life threatening” latex allergy

Diagnosed two weeks ago with “life threatening” latex allergy. I’m totally overwhelmed. It’s going to take me some time to learn the “lay of the land” of what I can and cannnot do. Grocery shopping, restaurants. Two days ago I had a reaction when I opened the clothes dryer door to check on a (still damp) cotton quilt. Would it have been caused by rubber/latex in the drier or door, the heat, moisture, and particles ? That shocked the heck out of me. Now I’m afraid to go into the shower for fear of having a reaction. Is there latex/rubber in the shower head. I’m so frightened......
