Recovery from critical illness is composed of many steps. One of the huge steps in that process is discharge from the intensive care unit (ICU). This transition can be both exciting and scary for patients and family members. The following video was developed by the Society of Critical Care Medicine to discuss the important things to know about your transition out of the ICU:
