Hi! My oncologist just switched me from Xgeva to zometa. Is anyone using either of these? If so have you experienced any side effects? Thank you
Hello @schmeeckle64, I'd like to invite @mom23boys, @wandering, @lindawinn, @roch, @kathysway and @100154 to this discussion as they have discussed one or both of xgeva or zometa. You may wish to also check out the discussion titled, "Zoledronic Acid: I need feed back for this drug please, https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/need-feed-back-for-this-drug-please
@schmeeckle64, are you currently experiencing side-effects? Was there a reason for the switch?
Thank you @JustinMcClanahan . I got my frist dose of zometa this last Friday. I was ok on Friday afternoon and then on Saturday I felt like someone beat the crap out of me. Every bone in my body was aching, my stomach was queezy, all I want to do is sleep and light headed. Today I feel a little better but not myself. I have no clue why my oncologist switched me since I was doing fine with the xgeva.
@JustinMcClanahan . Can you please resend that link from above? That one doesn't work.
