Hi Helen the best site to buy anything is just nebulizers because they are very reliable. I purchased there two compressors- ombraA and pari trek with a battery. I use my ombra for everyday nebulizing using the green reusable aeroclipse or pari nebulizers ( you can sterilize all parts of these). Ombra A compressor is strong and has a good warranty. Just nebulizers ask for a prescription so a emailed my doctors office and asked them to fax a prescription to just nebulizers. If you call just nebulizers - and they do answer the calls, they will take your order though and wait for the prescription. Good luck. I can see that you are actively taking care of your business after the Mayo visit. I wonder if you asked them about the phage therapy. Have a peaceful day
Dear Lilianna,
Thanks for your recommendation! Pari nebulizer does help with my bleeding after I switched it from my Omron nebulizer. It really makes a difference!
As Belgium is the most advanced in phage therapy and they told me it is still in experimenting stage, I did not further ask Mayo Clinic. But Dr, Timothy advised me not to use peptide, or use a peptide replacement. So I stopped it. I will be in National Jewish in December and ask them this question!
How is everything on your side? When will be your next visit to NJH? I also wanted to ask them whether there is any new antibiotics without hurting immune system invented.
Helen- It appears that you have gone to Mayo for a work up with Bronchiectasis and are also going to NJH. It will be interesting to hear about the differences of approach and instructions you will receive and have received from both.
Also, why did you try peptiede and decide to use peptide? Was it a supplement from a vitamin shop/department?

When traveling, I use the lactation room at the airport and lock the door.
In a hotel, if I am sharing a room with a friend I explain what I have to do. They usually say they will be in the bathroom showering or taking a walk to give me some privacy.
Yes, a vehicle parked outside has worked as a private location. Going on an errand when staying with friends and parking in a shopping Center or store parking lot works. Depending on where the phelgm is located in lung(s), angling the seat back helps with the deep breathing and / or Aerobika and then huff coughs. Maybe not the best position for someone with GERD, especially after a meal or snack.
Hi Blm1007,
Mayo Clinic is very thorough and precise. They try to understand from various aspects of my life and make a comprehensive analysis in order to know why I got MAC.
I did auto immune tests in NYU and got ANA positive 1;160 My pulmonologist diagnosed me as No Auto immune disease. But Mayo asked me to do ENA to further confirm it. I feel they want to dig out every little detail, which brings me a sense of security.
MAC also attacks people with normal immune, but I have been underweight in all my life, so I believe this is a very important reason for me be prone to bacteria infection. They also told me slender people tend to get MAC reinfection. So I think maintain a healthy weight is so so important.
Hope this helps,
Helen
Hi Barbara,
I used a peptide thymosin alpha 1 because it helps a lot with my energy level and also helps with my chest congestion since I used it. But Mayo told me it may not be good to me. I also feel weird because I dont feel fatigue from MAC medication. Now I am completely off it.
It is a regenerative medicine and many online vendors are selling it. It is also used for long covid, or patients with chemo, as it is an immune modulator.
The underlying question is really why we all got bronchiectasis, as MAC and other pathogens (pseudomonas, fungi) are secondary to bronchiectasis. Environmental exposure to MAC is often the cause of MAC/NTM. Bronchiectasis settled in first. 50% of bronchiectasis cases are idiopathic. I've had an ENT surmise my bronchiectasis is some variant of CF, which has not been decoded yet. I have tested negatively for known CF variants but new ones are being identified. Who knows.
I know bronchiectasis may cause MAC, but my bronchiectasis is mild, only limited to MAC area. I also got a variant for CF, but that is not a significant variant. Chloride Sweat test is the gold standard , which I also got negative. So i think low BMI is a very important cause.
There can be many causes to Bronchiectasis. My weight was fine when I got it. Repeated pulmonary infections or one that goes untreated for too long, GI issues are linked to Bronchiectasis such as IBD, immune issues, etc. No doubt genetics as well could make one prone to it.
