What is considered the average dosage for C/L medication?
Is there a typical dosage that seems to work for most early stage PD patients?

1 Reactionmy husband started with 25/100 Sinemet Instant Release 4 X day. He also tried Crexont 70/280 and Crexont 52.5/210 but the long release caused more nausea and anxiety. He's now back to Sinemet IR 25/100 4X day. He still has some nausea. He also tried taking 25 mgs extra of carbidopa for nausea.

1 Reactionso far it seems next step for me would be 4x a day when this no longer works. Not sure the c/l even comes in anything other than 25/100.
I have no idea what the "adv" dose would be and if it varies by the patients degree of symptoms? I know since I was diagnosed, my instructions were to ramp up 1/2 pill/week, three times a day. So when at full dose I will be taking 75/300 three times a day or a total of 300/900 per day.
I wouldn't second guess my providers choice. I have nothing to reference what is needed.
In my case the upper limit may be how tolerable the side effects/nausea is. I may have to have to ramp back to a more tolerable dose.
