What could be causing my constant feeling of head pressure?
I have a constant feeling of head pressure 24/7 that has lasted for months. The pressure is all over my head except the back. It improves a bit when laying down. I also have dizziness, brain fog, and severe fatigue probably related to this. Brain MRI scans show no issues. Has anyone had this issue, and what was the cause and solution?

@joanihm I have trigeminal neuralgia I have had it for 8 years. I originally thought it was a tooth ache, so I ended up with a root canal and then had a different pulled tooth until the oral surgeon suggested TN and put me on Lyrica. I had significant relief, but not enough. So Dr’s added baclofen. I take maximum dose of Lyrica and baclofen 3 times a day. This has really helped me. I still get pain towards the middle and end of the day but it is very manageable. Sleep helps reset the pain. I’m so sorry if this is what you have! It took a couple years to get on top of mine and it’s the worst pain of my life including child birth! If Lyrica isn’t working sometimes gabapentin works better. There are also much harsher drugs that I had reactions to that I do not recommend. Good luck.

2 ReactionsDear Friend,
Your type of TN sound unimaginable. I have the second type which is a steady dull pain impacting ear, eye, no and right side of neck and head. It is with me at all times, but I do find Lyrica helps. I could not tolerate gabapentin. I hope the TN eventually disappears just as it came, sneaking up on me over three years. May it be so for you as well.
@joanihm
Mine is also secondary. Almost always there. Sometimes worse than others. And sometimes I have significant flares that put me down! Good luck to you. It’s no wonder it’s called the “suicide disease”
@scissor77 I know the feeling. Long meetings over food or singing leave me deenergized. I think I will become a hermit. Let me know if you find something to relieve the pain. How does baclofin help?
I have that , the pressure feeling, sometimes can feel the pulsing through as well mine I discovered is associated with chiari 1.
Do you also have tinnitus?
Hello ! I’m new to this forum and recently I have went through terrible trauma in January ! After the survival mode I started having pressure and migraine symptoms non stops 24/7 and it’s going on 6 months ! I have had mri and ct scans and blood work and everything seems fine ! But my head pressure is so uncomfortable I had to quit my career and have issues daily just trying to manage my daily life ! I’m 39 years old and am so lost of what is causing this ! I have seen many doctors and none of them know what it could be ! I am just trying to find a possible answer to end this miserable pain !

1 ReactionIf anyone can help me or guide me to mention any possibilities to a doctor I have an appointment this Wednesday! I appreciate any help or guidance. Thank you
Narrowing of the blood vessels in your brain can cause a feeling of pressure as well as herniated disks, whiplash, subdural hematomas. You definitely need to see a neurologist and they also have headache specialists. I wish I could help I wish you success when you go to the Doctor.
@mindfay
I have pressure to. But in my case it is allergy related my whole life. When my Sinus cavity gets inflamed sometimes, it feels like my brain feels squeezed and my temples pulse. Plus I hsve tinitus and it flares up when the sinus are screaming. know it is a stretch since you have been examined using scans and blood work.
