Went off Carvedilol for 4 days and back on. Symptoms question..

I had an issue with my Carvedilol prescription refill and did not take it for around 4 days. I have been on this for approx 4-5yrs. 43yr old Male. I am on a 6.25mg dose 2x a day

Last Sat was when I stopped taking it due to running out. Pharmacy got me an emergency refill and went back on my 1st dose on Wed night.

On Thursday is when my symptoms went downhill

Thursday day: Fatigue, rapid heart rapid, chest pain on left side and sometimes across the top of my chest. Brain fog, concentration issues. Lack of sleed. Very bad headache, dizzy/light headedness all day. Nauseating feeling all day
Thursday night: Went to eat a piece of grilled chicken, could only eat half and started experiencing an upset stomach. After that tried to take a shower and got the chills, stood in the hot shower for about 30 mins I was so cold.
Go out, sat on the couch and immediately got hot and sweating, if I moved my legs, the chills came back. Mild temp of 100.2. This lasted until I went to sleep. Could not sleep again

Fri Morning: Woke up, sweats/chills gone. Headache is still present. Go to work, headache all day, uneasy stomach feeling, lower back ache and still a dull chest pain on left side. That lasted all day.

Fri Night same thing: Chills came back but not as severe. Nauseating feeling still around and wont go away.

Sat all day. Still have the nauseating feeling and lower back pain, now a very stiff neck pain has started. Headache on an off but not as bad as previous days.

I contacted my Cardiologist. They said they do not think its from the meds and its a mere coincidence and something else is going on. I feel that is a very strange coincidence. They told me if they chest pains get worse, go to the ER. So far they have got better since Thursday but not totally gone. Waiting for an appointment to see my Cardiologist. But after reading comments on here and symptoms googling, some of this seems to line up as to what I am experiencing. i was totally fine up until Going off and back on the meds.

Not a medical professional but if you were not have severe side affects when you took it before your medical professionals are right to question if it is the Coreg (brand name for Carvedilol).

When I first took Entresto and Coreg 10 year ago has significant side affects. Really bad fatigue, very low pulse rate, and BP. I was told would take some time for body to get used to the drugs and most likely will improve. They were right but took about 2 weeks. They did have to raise my pulsing (from my Pacemaker) from 50s to 70s as the drugs really lowered it.

I think they gave you good advice to go to ER. Your symptoms made be from something else and you would need to know it and get treated. Having said that we are all different in how we react to medication and how one may react another won't and vice versa.

Do you have access to A.I.? You could look up side affects for Carvedidol. You can also look them up on WEBMD and major medical institutions web site.
