Weighted blankets to improve sleep quality

I’m interested in learning about how effective weighted blankets are to improve sleep quality. I’d would like to hear from all of you.

What have you found in your research? Do you have anyone you know that uses a weighted blanket?

I love my weighted blanket and it helps me fall asleep however I get hot & it wakes me up sometimes

I'm wondering if @contentandwell @sandytoes14 have any experience with weighted blankets? @linedancer18337 @mamacita also have expressed interest in this topic in another discussion and may want to hear what others have to say or share some of any research they've done thus far.

@lisalucier I have not had any experience with weighted blankets. I do have a beautiful, very heavy quilt that I suppose could be used as a weighted blanket unless there are certain characteristics with the weighted blankets that are used therapeutically. I do not think my husband would be very happy with a weighted blanket on our bed though, plus with my hot flashes I’d be throwing it off half of the night.
In the last week I’ve actually been sleeping fairly well.
