I, too, am losing weight! I figured it was the medications but I need to take them. I found Boost that has 527 calories that I just ordered from Amazon. I'm hoping that helps.

Before I knew I had COPD, I was losing weight but put it down to a new stress in my life. I now have read that breathing with COPD takes extra energy therefore the weight loss.

@tia8marie Sadly, if I drink 2 a day, it ruins my appetite - what little I have. Very frustrating!

@natureisgreat yes, I have lost a great amount and it is very frightening to me. I can’t seem to put it back on and I really don’t know what to do about it. Everyone keeps saying eat, eat and they just don’t understand that I can’t eat like a normal person would. 🤷‍♀️

Someone I know well was prescribed a jar of Ensure a day, another such drink is Boost which was recommended to another friend. My friend really likes the Ensure. What I have done is stopped skipping meals, which I used to do when I was busy. Now I grab something, anything...

For weight loss, one of my docs prescribed Boost high calorie shakes 3 x daily, cheesecake with every meal, and heavy cream added to soups and other food. Not recommended if you can't tolerate dairy.
