Weight Gain with Evenity

Posted by susanew @susanew, Feb 11 4:56pm

Some have said they gained some weight when taking Evenity. Any idea at about what shots you noticed this? I am now going to be taking shots #9 and I do notice about a 4 to 5 lb. gain. Anyone else notice a gain in weight and if so, when was it noticeable?

@susanew I did 12 months of Evenity and I did not notice any change in my weight.

I completed my 12 months of Evenity at the end of 2024. My weight remained stable and my lumbar spine Dexa results increased dramatically from -3.5 to -1.8.

I gained 3 lbs the next morning after my first shot. It took the whole month to lose 2 of the 3 lbs. The next shot I gained another 2.5 lbs and I gained 1 pounds after my third shot. I am currently up 2 lbs over my pre treatment weight. I walk an hour a day on the treadmill and get an average of 20,000 steps a day, I do resistance training and eat clean and healthy. This has been the most frustrating side effects from the injection.

I have finished 11 shots. Notice my weight gain over the summer but I also had a decrease in my synthroid. I’ve gained about 8lbs since I started envenity, and the bones I’ve broken in the past hurt like the dickens and my arthritis flairs up lots.

I’ve gained 10 pounds since I started taking Evenity. I’ve had six doses so far. I walk 3-5 miles every day and use free weights and very conscious of what I eat. It’s frustrating but my bone density went from 45 HU to 80 HU in five months.

Yes, I had a gradual weight gain of about 7 lbs after about the 4th month. But, I am finished now and my gains ranged from 4.7 to 8.5 in lumbar spine, femoral back and hips. Have 30 more days before it is out of my system but my weight is beginning to creep back down to normal with my usual Mediterranean diet. My lumbar spine is in normal range and the others areas are in osteopenia range but doctor says it is pretty normal at age 75. Evenity was worth it for me!

Thx you. At least it isn't just me. I know that this treatment has interfered with my thyroid. I've had thyroid issues for 48 yrs and I know how my bodies react. The end of March I gave my bone density and final shot. I'm hoping that my body gets back to some normalcy. Thxs for your feedback. I'll post more when I have an update at that time.

This could be me. My walking is at least as much as yours. I watch what I eat and I have barely fluctuated in my weight or clothing size in almost twenty years. I’ve done 8 rounds of evinity and have gained ten pounds in six months. Literally nothing I do moves the needle on the weight gain - eating less, moving more, doesn’t matterz
