Weight Gain with Evenity

Thx you all for sharing your experience. This site helps me realize I’m not a Lone Ranger. I’m with you all. We are in a catch 22 - can’t do without the treatment and yet have difficulty with it. I’m on day 4 of tylmos and the shot part is easy, and side effects after the shot are not as bad. I changed my blood pressure medicine to dinner time and drank more water. Hardly had a headache or nausea. My expectations are still low but will keep plugging away since I’m almost 76 and I really don’t want any broken bones. Thx you all for your support and your experiences.

I've gained 3 pounds just after the 1st injection. Very depressing. I worked hard to lose the weight I gained during COVID and need to keep the weight off due to a bad knee. All in the belly. Plus joint pain and a migraine (which I haven't had for years) so not sure what I'll do next. Maybe try one more Evenity injection to see what happens and may need to consider Forteo or Tymlos instead.

I have 9 doses and my weight is up by 10 lbs. Hopefully once I finish, my weight will settle down

I'm up 5 lbs after 4 injections. Hoping the weight gain slows down and that it isn't permanent. I haven't changed my diet at all, in fact I am eating a bit less because of the weight gain. It's always something.

I had three months of shots of Evenity and realized I had put on 10 pounds. I thought it was because of how much we had been indulging in ice cream lately, but we stopped the ice cream and the desserts a month ago and I have not lost even one pound! Very frustrating.

I am one of those who gained 10 lbs on Evenity. It started immediately with 2 lbs in the first month and slowly and steadily increased with each new shot. I completed my 12th/final shot in Aug 2025. Was desperately hoping the weight would start to come off once it was out of my system at 60 days. That was a few weeks ago...no weight loss yet at all. I am 55 and am exercising more and eating less than when I started Evenity because I want to LOSE THIS WEIGHT! Like so many others have posted here, it's beyond frustrating. My endocrinologist said she's never heard of this as a side effect for Evenity. We women commenting here know better. The worst part is that my Dexa scores decreased by 5% in three categories. My spine score did increase 6% but my Dr. was hoping for gains of up to 20%+ since I am relatively young and very active. I just did a Reclast infusion last week and am using the new Osteoboost vibrating waist band in addition to strength training and power walking to try to stay strong. I've had two major fragility fractures since turning 50 and am now officially diagnosed with osteoporosis. If this Evenity weight ever comes off, I will re-post to let all of you reading here now. If anyone else has completed all 12 of their Evenity shots and has had success with the weight starting to come off, please comment here and give me hope...I really need some!
