Volara nebulizer
For anyone using the Volara for nebulizing: The new nebulizer cups they have started using do not work after sterilizing with a baby bottle sterilizer. The parts don't fit together correctly. Have you had this problem? I'm thinking I'm going to have to send it back. The company only recommends cleaning with soap and water which doesn't kill the NTM.

I wasn’t aware of volara recall either. Last year during my visit at NJH it was very much advised to try it.
@lilianna How did NJH recommend cleaning and sterilizing? That kit is awfully expensive to replace very often if it cannot be boiled.
Hospitals use and discard after XX days, so they don't worry about it.
@sueinmn the only thing they recommended was rinsing, then soaking in soapy water and rinsing after with destilled water. When I asked the tech who came to my home to install and instruct was the same. I expressed my concern and she said try to sterilize but she was not sure and of course it melted. I also tried online help with the issue- volara help line and after I chatted with the online support , I was sent to an „expert” and was asked to present with a $5 charge from my credit card which I did not want to do( wasn’t sure if they were legitimate). I tried volara manufacturer but never got a call back. But I will try again and again and then let you know.
