That amount of B-12 is considered safe but are you sure you need supplemental B-12?
You might talk to your Physician about it and ask for a blood test just so you'll know for sure. Why take something you don't need.
A supplement probably isn't necessary if you eat a healthy diet.
Do you have celiac disease or another condition or take medication that may interfere with its absorption? I take seizure medication which interferes with
B-12 absorption but I eat quite a bit of meat and fruit and other foods and mine is within normal range.
Don't take B-12 with vitamin C.
Vitamin C prevents your body from using
B-12 and should be taken with a meal to be better absorbed.
Take care,
Jake

Thank you for replying
Is that amount ok in shot form? I just did it one time and realized it’s suppose to be in small increments throughout the days.

@cduncan123 I'm sorry I didn't notice the ml before.
I'm not familiar with the injection.
Are you anemic? Have you noticed any problems?

@wkary Thanks. I got the green light! Every other day taper and see how it goes.

@rosemary
Will you let us know how you do.
How much were you taking and how much are you tapering every other day?
I tapered every week and had no problems.
Every other day seems hurried to me.
Take care

@jakedduck1, My apologies to all!
It looks like the discussion about B12 shifted to conversation about prednisone.
Jake my tapering refers to my prednisone taper, not B12. My every-other-day plan at a very low dose (by splitting pills/with permission) It as at the very end of my taper to get me to zero prednisone. If you want to taper prednisone, let me know, and I will help you to find those discussions.

@cduncan123, I see that 2 weeks have passed since you took 1000 mcg of Cyanocobalamin. How are you doing? Have you noticed any unusual side effects or discussed this with a doctor? Will you be following up with more B12?
