Vitamin B complexes.

I take a vit B complex capsule everyday for my PN. Lately I learned that some of the vitamins are not in their most bioavailable form, for example B1 thiamine should be Benfotiamine and B12 must be methylcobalim. Has any one sussed this problem out.

I need to do something. Out of no where, after about a week of no burning, it lit in. It happened after I got really anxious over a personal matter. It must have triggered it.

Personally for myself I started Vitamin B12 injections, for the first time my B12 is in a good place. I have had a bit less fatigue and more energy, but that’s just been my personal experience so for. My neurologist conveyed to me too much vitamin B6 can cause more pain, haven’t looked into this too much yet.

Vitamin brand wise I have personally liked: pure capsulation encapsulation, Brain MD by Doctor Amen, I believe vitamin absorption has to due with gut health, not sure I have to look more into that.

I take 1200 mg daily (600 mg morning and evening). One of the side effects some people have with higher dosages is nausea so it might help to start with a lower amount if you have nausea when you try it. Here's some information on the topic:

"How much alpha-lipoic acid should you take?
Because alpha-lipoic acid is an unproven treatment, there is no established dose. However, studies have used between 600-1,800 milligrams daily for diabetes and neuropathy; one review concluded that the evidence is convincing for the use of 600 milligrams daily for three weeks on symptoms of diabetic neuropathy. Some studies have used intravenous alpha-lipoic acid instead of oral supplements."
