Vaginal/vulva dryness/thinning

Has anyone gotten to a systemic dose of Estradiol that made their genitourinary symptoms not that noticeable? What helped you systemically the most: patch, gel, spray, cream, tablet? I tried a .100mcg patch for four weeks but it wasn't enough so my doc switched me to 1.25mg gel packets/sachets that I rub behind my knees and on my wrists and sides. Simultaneously, he put me on Intrarosa. The first three weeks on Intrarosa were awesome. My libido returned and my vaginal walls and IC bladder felt good. By the fourth week I was starving and my vulva/labia felt thin and dry. I tried two weeks off Intrarosa. Appetite lessened. But Imvexxy, which worked well before hysterectomy works inconsistently now. Vagifem doesn't help at all and hasn't in a few years. My gyno called in a DHEA cream that I can choose to rub on internally or just externally and try Intrarosa again but every other night instead. I hate having IC plus genitourinary symptoms. It's such a battle trying to help and not injure delicate skin. Can anyone share their experiences? FYI, I'm almost four months post-total hysterectomy.

I have a estradiol testosterone pellet inserted into my upper buttocks area every 12 weeks and progesterone caps along with vaginal estradiol cream. Works beautifully for me.

May I ask how long you've been on the pellets and who inserts them for you? Is your Progesterone oral and what's the dose? How often do you use your vaginal Estradiol cream? Thanks!

@blueskies1530
I had to go to a functional medicine provider. The pellet is inserted by my provider there. Progesterone is 200 capsule nightly. Estradiol vaginal cream is inserted 2x weekly.

@gravity3 How long have you been on the pellet? Have you had any side effects from it like facial hair growth?

About 14 months. If you are referencing the testosterone then yes a bit more fuzz but nothing that I can't deal with. I would never trade the return of my libido for a little hair.

Estriol vaginally and hyaluronic acid suppositories have worked for years for me combined with topical estriol/testosterone and progesterone. You can't stop age progession completely but you can make it better.

@kathleen1314 Estriol or Estradiol? They're different.

Estriol, vaginally and topically
I have bled everytime that i have used estradiol.

Also, I am one of those fairly unique women who seem to make my own estradiol or convert it well from testosterone etc. So I do not seem to need the estradiol supplementation.
