Hi, this is Lacey, I also had non-hodgkins lymphoma and I swear by curcumin, I take one pill a day ofTurmeric Supreme with my vitamins and Ensure, every morning with a light breakfast, it has given me back some of the energy I lost from chemo and my tests have been clean and perfect numbers. I have been in remission since Jan. 2015, so we are doing something right. Good Luck.
Boswellia has some positive research behind it for the pain of osteoarthritis and it seems to have some synergy with curcumin, for pain and other things. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3011108/
I can’t take nsaids either and I’ve tried boswellic acids but maybe I’ll have another look at them in conjunction with curcumin. I’m wary of taking on too many supplements having had cancer and a recurrence. Oncologist warned against it.
So does diet, play any part in autoimmune disease. My wife wants me to see a nutritionist who uses Leap (lifestyle , eating and performance. They use a MRT (mediator release test which is blood work. The whole deal will cost me close to 1000.00 this includes three meetings with a nutritionist to go over results and set up a plan. Good idea or not
Yes John, he had melanoma removed from his chest 4years ago and was told they got is all. April1 we found out his melanoma had metastatsized to his brain and lung.

Well glad to hear that he is doing well on his current regimen. Have you shared the list of supplements with his oncologist to make sure that there are no conflicts with his meds? Some nutrients at certain levels can actually increase cancer metabolism. Thiamine is an example. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4178204/
My oncologist advised me against too many supplements. Not everyone thinks the same but I just thought that I’d share it.

My husband has been taking tumeric for 3 months. Two masses have disapeared and two have shrunk. He also had pin point radiation . Hard to know if it helped or not. Will continue to take anyway.

Hi Marian, I take a turmeric supreme, extra strength ( maker, GAIA ), it is a natural herb, it has helped me and I also take 250mg. Magnesium with it. Ask you doctor if that is good for you?? Lacey

Hi, there are so many different brands out there, do you see a big difference in your energy since you are taking them? I am still very tired ( most likely the after effects of chemo ) getting better though. Lacey

Best wishes.
These were all suggested by our oncologist’s nutritionist. I will double check with pharmacist. Thanks Pam
How much turmuric? In what form please?

oops, your right , I wrote that sushi has lots of iodine, I meant mercury, thanks for getting that out. Lacey
1,000 mg. turmeric plus 5 mg perperine, usually it comes together. It comes
as a quite yellow pill oval form.
That’s what I take. I use Drs Best 1000 mg. Only because it was checked out by Consumer Labs.

Hi I did not see a difference in my energy level. I did see a big difference in arthritis of my knees.
