Treating vertigo?

Posted by lwbarker @lwbarker, Mar 7 6:46am

I just had my first bout with vertigo, after merely rolling over in bed quickly. Pcp sent me to neurologist who taught me the Epley Maneuver. It helped, but still somewhat dizzy. Anything else?

The dr. did not mention MD disease and it is a diagnosis of exclusion so I am assuming he had assessed something other than MD. He just didn't want to be questioned...when I asked if it might possible help with migraines he said, "Oh, if you have migraines then that's neurology...you need CRG." and got up and left the room. Don't know what affronted him but I need specifics if the treatment option is to inject steroids into my ear!

That’s exactly what I have done! I hate that in retirement that we did not chose an area close to a large medical center… ie the Research Triangle, Cleveland, Mayo etc!
