Traveling solo for procedure at Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN
Hello! I’ll be traveling to Rochester alone for a procedure at Mayo Clinic on August 18th. I’m looking for someone who could act as my responsible adult for a few hours afterward, as required by Mayo due to sedation.
Does anyone know of a volunteer organization or an affordable, short-term paid service that might be able to accommodate this? I’d really appreciate any recommendations or leads. Thank you!

I have a few tips to a) help you find a support companion while at Mayo Clinic and b) how to prepare for your first visit.
To ask about a support companion:
1. Contact Concierge Services.
https://www.mayoclinic.org/patient-visitor-guide/minnesota/concierge-services
Phone: 507-538-8438
Email: concierge@mayo.edu
The Concierge Service is a free service to help you prepare for your visit and find your way around. They may have suggestions for caregiver or companion services.
In Rochester we have a few companion services that could accompany you after your appointment. The information for two services that you can find in Rochester is bellow.
Visiting Angels (507)-289-1147
Quality Care (507)-258-4578
Quality Care was started by a former Mayo Clinic staff and understands the needs that patients have when at Mayo Clinic.
2. Volunteer Services

Volunteers are everywhere on campus. They are there to help when you are on campus.
