Traumatic Brain Injury: Come introduce yourself

Welcome to the Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) group on Mayo Clinic Connect.
This is a welcoming, safe place where you can meet people who know first-hand about living with a traumatic brain injury. Together we can learn from each other and share stories about challenges and triumphs, setbacks and the things that help.

Pull up a chair and connect. Why not start by introducing yourself? What is your experience? Got a question, tip or story to share?

I was really feeling down yesterday, so appreciative to have found this group. I live in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area and our Post Concussion Syndrome resource only offers 8 weeks of group therapy. Not enough. It’s such a long and winding road and to be able to talk to others who understand each other and can offer advice and a shoulder is invaluable. Thank you so much!

Hello, I have a head injury to the back of my head from a ski accident. This happened four days ago. I had a CT scan and everything looked ok. I felt ok for a couple days but today woke up dizzy and not feeling so good. I called off work. I have read that a concussion can have delayed effects. Trusting Jesus to take care of me.
