Thank you. They’re just concerned because she seems to be getting worse and she’s almost 15. They know she probably won’t go to therapy when she’s 18 and and they’re not sure she’ll be ok by three years.
It seems as if they are giving up on your daughter and they certainly don’t know what will happen in three years. As I said before, seek out different docs and a therapist she really likes. It can make all the difference in the world.
Hi, @kaybird – I believe that @ainsleigh@mpm1@hlvslp72 will likely have some information to share with their experiences with genetic testing for depression, and particularly how one asks about it and what specifically should be tested.

Thank you for checking. She’s doing better but still has a way to go. The challenges now is that she doesn’t care about school at all, so her grades are dropping. She hasn’t been accepted into any other school for the fall, due to her grades, so I’m hoping this is the light she needs. Right now tensions are high because she’s upset that no one is accepting her, but we’re letting it ride, hoping she sees that her actions have consequences.

Hi, @kaybird – thanks for the update. Good to hear your daughter is doing better. I hear you on the still a way to go part, however.
You mentioned her grades are dropping since she does not care about school, and that she hasn't been accepted into any other school for the fall due to the grades. Will you share more about this? Was she looking to change schools for next year?

She is looking to change schools but she has a lot of triggers at her former one. I pulled her out in March and she’s currently being home schooled. She just got accepted into a project based school, so we’ll see how that goes.

@kaybird – thinking of you and wondering how things are going with your daughter lately?
