Teen- tired, collapsing
Hello, has anyone's child experience the following? My teen is 15 years old and has been experiencing the following: has been tired a lot lately, tingles starts from the toes, radiates up to the waist, legs shakes, complains of back pain here and there; unable to hold self up, upper body becomes weak, arms wobbly, can't hold head up, collapses, flutter eyes, becomes dead weight, blanks out from seconds to minutes, eyes looks heavy, winks to try to keep self awake. After resting 15-20 mins then back to normal self. CT/MRI/Bloodwork all indicates normal. Any idea?

Still waiting for results from the EEG.
Seems like there’s a set on every 12-14 days when my daughter starts to feel tired and has an episode based on the last two episodes she had.
Not sure what is triggering it. I mean she’s been active, riding bike, playing volleyball, running around, doing her normal stuff. Today, she had an episode at school again.
Any idea?
I recently read an article in CNN about a teen girl with similar symptoms too. Then talking to my sister who is an RN said her RN friend who had Covid had similar symptoms too but the person was much older.
It’s just frustrating because everyday is just unpredictable.
So, my daughter's last episodes were May 30/31, and she had an episode yesterday May 12th. She says the episode was less severed than those of previous. So, it's around the 12-14 days. It's frustrating to not know what is going on. Neurologist opinion, she's fine, healthy, she needs to accept the episodes when it happens, learn to deal with it and move on - we may never know what's triggering it. Cardiologist says heart is perfect, no issues of concern. Since we do not know what is going on, we've decided on a holistic approach with acupuncture. She's had 3 sessions so far. Still waiting to see if that helps in any way.
Could it be an anxiety attack. Has she seen a psychiatrist? There are many alternatives to help with anxiety. Stress is a major reason for an anxiety attack. I know I use to have them also!
EEG is normal. No signs of seizures.
We did 4 sessions of acupuncture and now doing PDTR sessions. It seems to be helping a lot. Out therapist says he has other Covid patient with similar symptoms too.
@pmyok
Thanks for getting back with EEG result. Normal is good.
I’m glad that her new treatments are helping.
It’s very likely to be Covid related.
I forgot to ask- was she tested for any tick borne illnesses- such as Lyme disease?
I hope she continues to improve!
