Talking to self for hours
I am caring for my mother in law ...she has dementia. For the past few days when she is in bed either at night or the afternoon...she has talked nonstop. She seems to be having a great time...laughing and telling all kinds of stories. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced something like this with a dementia patient?

@poppstun, what a creative solution with the disconnected house phone. It appears to keep her happy since she tells stories and laughs. As for her speaking clearly and making understandable sentences on occasion, would you consider this to be "lucid" moments?
It sounds like you've thought of everything.
My husband won't look at picture books, but he enjoys working on jigsaw puzzles and he's advanced from the 16 piece puzzles to 100 piece. His progress brings me joy as well.
Take care.
