How do you protect the kidney from tacrolimus toxicity and damage?

i am taking Tacrolimus and no diabetes, my GFR is 30 something, i saw kidney doctor yesterday , only factor is Tacrolimus,
i need to find replacing immune suppressant,,very frustrating
Dr dont answer definite answer

@pakyun22 I’m still unclear as to why you are on an immune suppressant. Are you post transplant? Now you want to find a replacement immune suppressant? You asked if my kidney function rapidly dropped. It is slowly decreasing but this has been over nearly 20 years. What are your frustrations?

sorry for the confusion
yes, I am post transplant 18yrs, only on Tacrolimus but my kidney function got affected by this drug
I am really frustrated, Drs dont seem to figure how to approach and i am doing my research on swtiching another non toxic immune suppresant and worrying how fast my kidney got worse if I cant the replacing drugs in a timely manner
