Sterilizing equipment

Posted by kathyhg @kathyhg, Nov 16, 2022

I recall reading, in a discussion on sterilizing equipment, that someone used Milton sterilizing tablets to clean equipment while travelling.
Does anyone have information on using these? It would certainly make travelling easier but I can’t find anything that says if it kills bacteria like Mac.
Thanks.

@kathyhg Kathy, Milton tablets are salt and bleach. I believe if that were enough to kill mycobacteria we would be able to clean our equipment with simple bleach water. The manufacturer specifically does not name mycobacteria of any sort in the list of bacteria and viruses killed by their product. I assume they would do so if it was effective.
Perhaps you can contact them with that question?
