Be sure and talk w your cardiologist! I too was intolerant of my statins. I now take Zetia (pill) and Praluent ( an injection). My statins are at record lows!

I get Leqvio injections. Works great, no side effects.

This is the exact situation my father had—one statin caused muscle pain and triggered an autoimmune condition (!). Another caused temporarily liver damage.

He was prescribed Zetia as the others have said m, which is a different type of medication, still effective, though not as strong as statins. It may have some side effects, but it’s much less pronounce usually. Unfortunately, my dad still can’t tolerate that.

His cardiologist recommended psyllium fiber (Metamucil). His neurologist recommended plant sterol supplements. Plant sterols work similarly to Zetia; they bind to cholesterol and draw it out of your body through the stool. But that’s why both the above can also cause GI symptoms. This explains better if you’re interested: https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/drugs/17368-phytosterols-sterols--stanols

The brand recommended to us is Pure Encapsulations Cholesto-pure.
