Started Repatha - Side Effects
I had terrible side effects with statins (any statin, any dosage). For about 30 years my doctors have pushed statins and
I have resisted. Finally I agreed to Repatha. The first week I had zero side effects. With my second dose, 2 weeks in, i woke up and my joints and muscles hurt a LOT.
1. Does this side effect go away?
2. What do you know about the recent information that the Repatha trials underreporting deaths from cardiac events while taking Repatha.

@repathaconcerns I am glad you are able to tolerate the pain you have been having, and I hope that continues to get better.
I followed recommendations after Repatha to take a 3 month break then try Praluent as well. After one injection I was done. I don’t think I was aware of all it impacted in my body, and as time passes I am more convinced the drug is the culprit. I went in circles until finding a doctor I trusted. Then, it has taken a long, long time of an extreme level, consistent exercise, strengthening, and eating to feel better.
What do you think you will do?
The Repatha back pain I have may be permanent as I’ve been off of Repatha for over 6 months. Just trying to feel better. I eat heathy organic foods and exercise, but I need to shift my exercise because it’s dangerously hot outside. I’m trying walking in the library (if I walk in the mall I spend money). I do yoga twice a week and trying to get myself on the treadmill (ugh) and to start resistance exercises at the gym. I don’t have any problem getting exercise other times of the year.
