Spiculated nodule & adenocarcinoma: Resection or biopsy first?

I have consult August 11th
1.7 cm x 1.1 cm spiculated lung nodule & 5mm ground glass nodule
Nurse stated considering resection when scheduling appointment
Wouldn't they do a biopsy dirst ?

@sallik74 systematic treatment means chemotherapy, immunotherapy, or targeted therapy infusions or pills.

They presented my case Wednesday evening to the Tumor Board called Thursday & decided to wait 6 months for another CT scan.
