Interesting for those of us using soy products. Scroll down to ‘conclusions’ for the bottom line…

Key findings from the article....
I’m interesting conclusion and findings.
I’ve tried soy products for my protein mix; could never get past the awful taste. So, I’m still using whey protein in my berry protein smoothie.
I've never been into soy products, except soy sauce on my Chinese food, but I've read a handful of studies as far back as 20+ years ago that said that soy was thought to increase the risk of breast cancer, which is the cousin of prostate cancer (same BRCA genes).

1 ReactionI was using almond milk for a while, but found out it does not have many nutrients and health benefits, Much less bad for the environment, so I switched to soy milk. Interesting how it has a very long shelf life without refrigeration.
I have it with my cereal every morning and in my mushroom coffee and Wisconsin ginseng tea. Tastes great.
I guess it’s not helping my cancer at all, I didn’t buy it for that reason.

1 ReactionProbably not much use against gene mutations; but the soybeans and the milk are the only products that might offer any help at - tofu not at all.
Interestingly, I had always heard that the prostate cancer deaths among Japanese men go much higher once they come to the United States. The reasoning was that they stopped eating tofu, which was thought to be protective against prostate cancer.
This meta-analysis, however, disproves that theory and states that tofu offers no protection to either Chinese or Japanese men…

What brand name mushroom coffee do you drink?
Thanks!
@johnny8924
From Amazon I think it must last me at least three or four months maybe more. I have it every day. Some people just put it in their coffee.
I stopped all soybean products when I read it can cause too much estrogen in men and women. Estrogen has some link to cancer. Who knows.
@bobgolf
While estrogen can be a problem if you have BRCA2, If you don’t, then it is actually a benefit if used in high doses. If you are to take estradiol instead of ADT for Reducing testosterone levels the estradiol at least keeps some of your sexual desire active unlike ADT. It also has many fewer side effects than ADT.
Dual Action: Estrogen can have a dual role, acting as a potential promoter of early cancer development, but in some clinical scenarios, high-dose estrogen has been used to treat advanced prostate cancer by lowering androgen levels.
A search AI says this
Soybean products do not produce high levels of human estrogen in the body. Due to their weak nature, they often have a protective, anti-estrogenic effect rather than a boosting
I’m wondering, where are you found that estrogen creation is a problem with soy?
